Please take a few minutes to read this link about mortality associated with catch and release fishing. It is not so much what tackle you use to target steelhead/trout, but more how you play fish, land fish and hong long they are kept out of the water. If trout of any species are kept out of the water for more then 20 seconds, they have a good chance of dying. If they remain out of the water for a minute or more, you might as well keep the fish and eat it, because it is probably going to die. Think about why you fish and what that grip and grin fish pic really means to the fish. If you love to catch fish, Keep em wet and respect their beauty and vitality.
